Bill Rea grew up on the windswept planes of a Wyoming oil town eating moose meat and tabouli. He developed an early appreciation for the long low light on the prairies and the geology that created them. Watercolor and science were his parent’s passions harking from the east and the Middle East. Bill has taken this diverse cocktail of his upbringing into a hard to categorize art form. He is licensed as an architect, had a sixteen year career as a feature film art director working on a diverse range of projects from Titanic to True Lies and was an award winning teaching professor. His latest endeavor, xRea Studios, will bring his scattered design background together to create a body of work, mechanical, kinetic, sculpture, combined with photography to evoke curiosity in all of us.
